Two Chestatee High School students are headed to the International DECA Competition in Orlando in April after placing first at the recent DECA State Competition.

Senior Hannah Grizzle and Junior Sophie Davis had a perfect score at state in the School-Based Enterprise category.

Advisor Holly Alewine says “The girls effectively demonstrated to the judges the excellent job they do each and every day. Their drive to provide customer service to other students paired with a commitment to operate a profitable and efficient store sets them apart from other competitors.”

Grizzle and Davis also received recognition from National DECA for the gold re-certification of The Snack Shack, Chestatee High School’s school-based enterprise.

DECA is an organization that prepares high school and college students for possible careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
