A group of Tadmore Elementary School students recently had the chance to explore the new Lanier Technical College Campus in Gainesville.

Lanier Tech President Ray Perrin and Vice-President of Institutional Advancement Lauren Pugh helped guide the fifth-graders through personal interests linking their interests to possible careers, and encourage students to express their initial thoughts about what field they would like to explore.

This was a first-time experience for the students. They received first-hand information on many different career fields such as medical, dental, and motorsports, among others.

The students completed their field trip with a lunch at The Oaks, which is a restaurant and program offered by Hall County Schools.  They were taught proper etiquette for fine dining and enjoyed a meal prepared for them by the chef and culinary arts students.
