FLOWERY BRANCH — Fog was the big winner Monday night at the Hog Mountain Sports Complex.
Fog caused the Flowery Branch-Stephens County season opener to end in a 3-3 tie after seven innings.
Zack Wagner went 4 innings giving up no runs and just one hit with five strikeouts for the Falcons. Luke Houston relieved him going 1 1/3 allowing 2 hits and fanning 3 and Anthony Woeltje came in to close out the game going the final 1 2/3 innings surrendeing 2 hits and striking out 2.
Connor Larson, Kaleb Freeman, a double, Grant Lackey, triple,, Zander Sechrist, Andrew Armstrong, double, and Austin Hatcher each had one hit for the Falcons. Larson and Freeman had 1 RBI each.
Flowery Branch next will travel to Class 7A North Gwinnett on Wednesday.
