ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons have released defensive end Brooks Reed.
“Brooks has been a good player and very good teammate over the last four seasons,” said General Manager Thomas Dimitroff. “We have a great appreciation for his drive and work ethic as he was a key piece in our defensive line rotation. I have a great deal of respect for him and wish him the best as he moves forward in his career.”
Reed was signed by the Falcons as a free agent in March of 2015. In his four seasons with the organization, the eight-year pro totaled 101 tackles (62 solo), 7.0 sacks, 20 quarterback hits, and two forced fumbles in 60 total games. Reed also played in five postseason games as a Falcon. In 2018, Reed played all 16 games, including eight starts, tallying 24 tackles, one sack, four QB hits, and one forced fumble.
