ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Carson Roberts was the top player Sunday as the North Georgia women's golf team opened play in the World Golf Invitational.
The Nighthawks sit in 14th place after an opening round 321.
Roberts shot a four-over-par 76 to open the tournament and finds herself in a tie for 22nd individually. Megan Sabol is just three strokes behind Roberts after an opening round 79.
No. 3 Nova Southeastern leads the tournament after shooting even-par 288 in the first round, while No. 10 Florida Southern is in second with a first-round score of 300. No. 16 Lee, Flagler and No. 25 Saint Leo round out the top five.
The Nighthawks will finish out the tournament Monday at the Slammer & Squire.
