As you remove the Christmas decor this year, remember that tree recycling is available all across the region as part of the annual Bring One for the Chipper campaign.

In Hall County, residents can take their cut trees to any of the county's 12 compactor sites or the Hall County landfill. The recycling event runs from Dec. 26, 2019 to Jan. 6, 2020.

Donated trees will be mulched, and then residents can pick up free mulch at the county landfill Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting.

All decorations need to be removed before the trees are handed over for recycling.

Artificial trees will not be accepted.
