Choosing a specific storyline of this year’s Lanierland Tournament could garner several potential prospects.
Maybe it’s the win-less 2018 Lanierland boys champion, Gainesville? Could it be Seth Vining returning to the helm of the East Hall boys? Or what about Courtney Newton-Gonzalez’s Flowery Branch girls seeking a tournament-record five straight titles with a new-look squad?
There are several contenders, which makes the 60th edition of the oldest invitational tournament in the state just that good.
The tournament is slated to start at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. You can hear every first-round game live on 94.5 FM The Lake and streaming at www.accesswdun.com.
