Buford first-year head coach Bryant Appling was named Region 8-5A Co-Coach of the Year four days after leading the Wolves to their first state title since 2014 on Friday at Georgia State Stadium.
The Wolves rallied to beat Warner Robins, 17-14, in overtime for the program's 12th championship. Appling shares the Coach of the Year honors with Clarke Central's Dave Perno whose team beat the Wolves for the Region 8-5A title in November.

Bullock led the Knights in rushing with 900 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also hauled in 108 yards. Jackson was the top tackler on the team with 56, 43 solo.
