Officials with the city of Cumming are reporting a minor sewer spill in Lake Lanier.
According to a report issued by Cumming Utilities and the City of Cumming, the spill occurred on Saturday near 1211 Bald Ridge Marina Road.
The spill was reported as a minor spill, with 480 gallons spilling into the lake.
Grease reportedly blocked the sewer line and caused the spill into an unnamed tributary to Lake Lanier. "The blockage was jetted and the line was cleared," the report stated as the corrective action.
