Sometimes the best defense in football is a punishing, time-consuming rushing attack. For the Buford Wolves, that is exactly what they do.

Now, that’s not a knock on the Buford defense, because it’s really good as well -- No. 4 in Class 5A.

But Wolves runningbacks, Elijah Turner, Gabe Ervin Jr and Victor Venn, behind a big O-line, have punished their opponents this season for more than 3,330 yards.

Buford coach Bryant Appling said the key to the rushing success is a combination of Turner, Ervin, Venn and stellar O-line play.

The game will be broadcast live on AM 550 & FM 102.9 WDUN beginning at 4:30 this afternoon. AccessWDUN’s Friday Game Night page will have full coverage with stories, video highlights and photos. You can track the game in real-time on twitter @FridayGameNight.

Buford's T. Lee (1) and Victor Venn (25) jog off the field against Jones County last week. Venn has been key in the Wolves' post-season success.
