GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview Academy girls improved to 5-4 on the seson after taking a dominating 73-47 win over Athens Academy Monday.
The Lions ran out to a quick 27-14 lead in the first quarter and took a 42–24 lead at the half.
Joelle Snyder paced Lakeview Academy with 28 points, including going a perfect 9-for-9 at the free throw line. Eliza Snyder added 21 points and 8 rebounds, Jackie Allen had 13 points and 8 assists, and Maddy Towles had 7 points and 8 rebounds for the Lions.
The win was coach John Carrick's 799th in his career.
Lakeview next will play host to Franklin (Tenn.) on Friday as Carrick goes after his 800th career victory.
