Jackson County deputies made a sizeable drug bust Wednesday — 25 kilos of methamphetamine, valued at $335,000, was confiscated along with the arrest(s) of three Jefferson individuals.
According to authorities, investigators from the sheriff's office in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security conducted search warrants on two separate residences in the Jefferson area.
As a result of the search warrants, a large methamphetamine lab was located and disassembled.
A direct passage from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Facebook page said, "the lab was in the process of converting liquid methamphetamine into crystal methamphetamine."
Multiple people suspected of having involvement with the methamphetamine lab were arrested and now face a handful of charges:
Randy Len Brown, 59, charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Manufacturing Methamphetamine, and Felony Violation of Probation. Tamorah Lee Draper, 58, charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Manufacturing Methamphetamine. Rodney Neal Scott, 50, charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Violation of Probation, and 2 counts of Violation of Probation Misdemeanor.
All three individuals remain lodged in the Jackson County Jail as of Thursday night.
