South Hall house fire victim identified

Authorities have released the name of the person killed in a Saturday morning house fire in South Hall County.

According to Hall County Fire Services Division Chief Zachary Brackett identified the deceased as 61 year old Kimberly Carter of Alpharetta.

Brackett said Carter was house sitting for the owners of the Old Stringer Road home while they were in Florida for Thanksgiving.

The blaze was reported around 2:50 a.m. at the 3,500 square-foot home, which  was destroyed , according to Brackett.  The fire remains under investigation.
