Hall County fire crews spent part of their Thanksgiving battling a fire in a vacant mobile home in the Flowery Branch area.

Hall County Fire Services Division Chief Zachary Brackett said the fire was initially reported as a woods fire in the 6200 block of Malibu Ridge. Other callers to 911 then told dispatchers the fire was burning a mobile home, and they thought someone might be inside.

"Upon arrival, personnel found a single wide mobile home down a long driveway that was 80% involved with fire," Brackett said in a press statement. "A water supply was established and a defensive mode of operations was utilized to extinguish the fire."

Brackett said it turned out the mobile home was vacant.

He said an investigation is underway to determine a cause.

No firefighters were injured in the operation.
