*The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission’s Career Coach will visit the Sharon Forks Library in Cumming on Wednesday, December 4, from 11 AM – 2:30 PM.  Experts will be on hand to help job-seekers search and apply for jobs, write resumes and cover letters, discern their career interests, and learn about funding available for training.  There is no charge for this service.

*Piedmont College will present its 31st annual service of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m., December 6 and 7 in the Chapel on the Demorest campus. The performances are free but anyone planning to attend is encouraged to arrive early because seating is limited.

*"Season of Light,” a special holiday presentation in Young Harris College’s O. Wayne Rollins Planetarium, will take place Friday, Dec. 6 at 8 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 13 at 8 p.m. For more information about planetarium events, contact call (706) 379-5195 or visit yhc.edu/planetarium.

*Dr. Josh Mugele is the newest program director for the planned Emergency Medicine residency program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. 

*United Way of Hall County has extended its toy drive for its Christmas Promise Store until Dec. 6.   Items can be dropped off at the United Way office at 527 Oak Street in Gainesville.  To find out what supplies are still needed for the store, contact [email protected]

*Forsyth County officials will host the unveiling of the county's Veterans Memorial Statue on the courthouse grounds in Cumming Dec. 7 at 11:00.
