Two juveniles are facing charges after they allegedly had a firearm at Winder-Barrow High School Tuesday morning.
At 8:40 a.m., the school resource officer got a tip that there was a student on campus in possession of a firearm, according to a press release from the Barrow County Sheriff's Office. The SRO was able to make contact with the student and secure the firearm.
The release stated another student had brought the firearm to the school initially. Both students were taken into custody and taken the Regional Youth Detention Center.
There isn't any evidence that either juvenile intended to use the gun on campus, the release stated.
