BUFORD — Buford advanced to its seventh consecutive semifinals with a 3-0 win over Kell Saturday at the Buford gym. The Lady Wolves have not dropped a set through the first three rounds.
Jackson County upset North Hall in Gainesville taking a 3-1 win over the Lady Trojans at the North Hall gym to advance to the semifinals in Class 3A. It was the second straight win over a region champ for the Lady Panthers. They took down Region 2-3A champ Jackson in the second round and now the Region 7-3A champs in North Hall.
Rabun County moved into the semifinals in Class 2A/A Public playoffs with a 3-1 victory over Dade County. Union County, however, was knocked out by Gordon Lee 3-0 in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Dawson County and Cherokee Bluff, also out of Region 7-3A, were looking for semifinal berths on Saturday as well. However, neither could advance. The Lady Tigers lost 3-0 to Greater Atlanta Christian while the Lady Bears lost 3-0 to Pace Academy.
In Class 4A, White County fell to LaFayette on the road in a 3-0 decision in the quarterfinals.
