The White County volleyball team upset Region 3-4A No. 1 seed Richmond Academy, 3-1, to advance to the quarterfinals of the Class 4A state tournament Wednesday on the road.
The Warriors, No. 3 seed out of Region 7-4A, will travel to Lafayette on Saturday for a trip to the semifinals on Oct. 29th.
In Class A/2A Public, Union County advanced to the quarters with a shutout win over Area 2 No. 1 seed Harlem on Wednesday, 3-0.
The Panthers, Area 8 No. 2 seed, will travel to Gordon Lee on Saturday. The winner will advance to the semifinals.
