CLEVELAND — The Boil Water Advisory issued by the City of Cleveland on Friday has been lifted.
The advisory was issued following a six-inch water main break and affected water customers on White Street, Old Blairsville Road, Kenimer Street and the north end of Wilford Ash Parkway.
The advisory resulted in the cancellation of classes at White County Middle School on Friday.
To make proper repairs, the city’s public works department had to shut off the water supply to those customers.
The advisory is required by the EPD to ensure the safety of the drinking water to the city’s customers in the event of the possibility of a contaminant entering the system.
The city received word Saturday from EPD that all tests are clear and the advisory has been lifted.
