COMMERCE — Commerce struggled to find the end zone in a 21-7 Region 8-A loss to Hebron Friday night at Tiger Stadium.
Hebron three-star quarterback Colton Gauthier was 21-of-30 for 229 yards and one touchdown. The Lions (5-2, 3-0 Region 8-A B) finished the night with 336 total yards of offense.
The Tigers (5-3, 2-1 Region 8-A B) only score came on their first drive of the game -- a 71-yard scoring march, capped by Commerce quarterback Nate Ray connecting with TJ Trudnak for a 28-yard touchdown to go up 7-0.
Ray was 5-of-7 passing for 62 yards and a touchdown. Sam Roach led the Tigers' rushing attack with 65 yards on 17 carries. Commerce finished with 171 total yards of offense.
Hebron, however, scored 21-unanswered points, including a touchdown pass and a rushing score from Gauthier and a Demetrius Rogers 7-yard run.
Commerce will host Towns County Friday night. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m.
