FLOWERY BRANCH — Jaizen Ellingham rushed for over 270 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead Flowery Branch to a 45-20 win over White County Friday night in Region 7-4A action.

The Falcons (5-0, 1-0) did not give the Warriors (3-3, 0-2) any chance to stage an upset jumping out to a 24-0 lead in the first half.

Chase Dial-Watson scored a pair of first-half touchdowns sandwiched around Ellingham’s first score. White County did not get on the board until just 3 seconds were left in the first half on the first of two J. Ben Haynes TD passes that cut the lead to 24-6.

Dial-Watson picked off Haynes on the Warriors' first drive of the third quarter and Ellingham later scored on touchdown following a Warriors fumble on their second drive.

Haynes cut the lead to 31-13 on touchdown run early in the fourth quarter but Ellingham scored twice more around a TD run by White County's Zion McMullen in the fourth quarter.

The Falcons will travel to Chestatee next week while the Warriors will take the week off before playing host to West Hall in two weeks.
