NORCROSS — The stat sheet looks normal, the scoring is a different story.

Greater Atlanta Christian (5-1, 2-0) used a 21-point second quarter to distance themselves and cruise to a 45-21 Region 7-3A win over North Hall (3-3, 1-1) Friday night.

The Spartans only outgained the Trojans by 21 total yards (329-308) but the difference was in the GAC big plays.

In the second quarter, Christian Thomas hauled in a 37-yard touchdown pass from Jackson Hardy and Zac Mixon scampered for a 90-yard kickoff return in the second quarter. Later in the fourth quarter, Tre Henry broke loose on a 45-yard scoring run.

North Hall, however, cut the lead to 28-14 at the half, off a Kevin Rochester 5-yard scoring run and a JT Fair touchdown run and closed the gap to 10 points off a Cody Smith 3-yard run in the third quarter, 31-21.

Fair led the Trojans' ground game with 87 yards on 14 carries and a touchdown, while Trey Sanders was 6-for-10 passing with 132 yards.

North Hall is off on Friday.
