RABBITTOWN — East Hall captured its fourth straight Region 7-3A girls softball title Wednesday sweeping a pair of games from Lumpkin County in the championship series at East Hall Park.

The Lady Vikings took Game 1, 6-1, and routed the Lady Indians 16-0 in four innings Game 2 to win the series.

The wins helped East Hall complete a perfect run through the region -- egular season and region tournament -- for the second consecutive season.

Macy Banks was stellar in the circle pitching two complete games, including a no-hitter in Game 2. She fanned 17 batters and scattered just four hits in the two games.

Banks also had three hits in the first game. Calli Hardison paced the offense in the second game with driving in four runs.

The big inning for East Hall in the second game was an 8-run fourth inning, including a home run from Abigail Brown and a RBI double from Ansley Ivey.

Both teams will play host in the first round of the upcoming Class 3A playoffs.
