Georgia Trend Magazine's 23rd edition of its list of 40 under 40 movers-and-shakers in Georgia includes women from Flowery Branch, Clarkesville, and Sugar Hill.
In announcing the selections, the editors note that "this year’s group of young leaders, who while representing the nonprofit, healthcare and legal sectors, large corporations and startup entrepreneurial ventures, still find time to volunteer and give back to strengthen and grow the communities around them."
Those from northeast Georgia are: Amanda Woodall Glover, 38, Director of Marketing and Development, Cooper & Company General Contractors; Jessie Owensby, 37, Community Development Manager for the City of Cornelia; and, Juanita Velez, 29, Manager of International Social Media Strategy, Delta Airlines, and Founder and President, Hispanic Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
The honorees, each under 40 years of age, were selected by the Georgia Trend staff from more than 400 nominations by readers of the magazine. A banquet in their honor will be held Oct. 30 at the Georgia Aquarium.
