Sophomore Shad Dabney has transformed himself into a scoring threat for the No. 7-ranked Riverside Eagles.
Last week, Dabney averaged 27 ppg in three wins, including a 28-point performance in the Eagles against Lakeview.
The win pushed the Class A Private No. 7-ranked Eagles (17-4, 8-1 Region 8-A) into temporary sole possession of first place in the region.
Dabney scored 24 points against George Walton and had 29 points and 10 assists in a win over Hebron Christian.
Dabney’s play has earned him this week’s Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the week.
We caught up with Dabney and coach Marvin Latham to talk about Dabney's play, the team's success and what to expect in the region tournament.
