DAWSONVILLE — Dawson County kept pace for second place in Region 7-3A with a 58-52 win over Cherokee Bluff Monday night at the Dawson County gym.
The game was moved up a day from Tuesday in anticipation of a possible winter storm that is expected to hit the northeast Georgia area on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers (17-7, 8-3 Region 7-3A) got a double-double from Anna Lowe (10 points, 10 rebounds) and 18 points and 8 rebounds from Kaylee Sicker in taking their fourth straight win. Marlie Townley added 13 points and 8 rebounds for Dawson County.
The Lady Bears (12-12, 3-8 Region 7-3A) dropped to sixth place with the loss. They led 26-24 at halftime but could not hold on as Dawson County outscored them 34-26 in the second half.

The Lady Wildcats tied Bryan County for the most wins in Class 2A with a lopsided Region 8-2A victory Monday night at home.
The game was moved up a day from Tuesday in anticipation of a possible winter storm that is expected to hit the northeast Georgia area on Tuesday.
It also was the 20th consecutive win for Rabun County (22-1, 13-0 Region 8-2A).
Brooke Henricks led Rabun County with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Georgia Stockton added 15 points and 5 steals for the Lady Wildcats.
