*The Humane Society of Northeast Georgia's February Wellness Clinic will be held, February 2, 2019, at 845 West Ridge Road, Gainesville, from 9:00 am-2:00 pm and 2:00pm-3:00 pm. *John Folsom’s ‘THE VANISHING’ will be on display at the Piedmont College Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art January 31-February 28. Admission is free, and museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

*The Lula Water System has been named an "Outstanding Performer" by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources -Environmental Protection Division  This follows completion of the agency's annual Sanitary Survey of the water system.

*The Hall County Library System will host New York Times best-selling author Nic Stone at the Spout Springs Branch Thursday, January 31 a6 6:00 p.m.  The event will be co-hosted with the Piedmont Regional Library System and is part of North Georgia Teen Reads.  Stone is the author of Dear Martin, a teen novel about American race relations.   The event is free and open to the public.

*North Georgia Technical College is now accepting entries for the 23rd annual Manufacturing Appreciation Week student design competition. The competition is open to all elementary (K-5), middle (6-8) and high school (9-12) students in Georgia.  For additional information on Georgia Manufacturing Week or the MAW student design competition, visit www.georgiamaw.org.

*Registration is now open for the Hall County Government Scholars' Academy, which will be held March 5 - May 7.
