Winning is nothing new to the Flowery Branch Lady Falcons.
Over the last four seasons, the Lady Falcons are 98-19, including four straight trips to the state playoffs. They lost to Buford last year in the Class 5A state title game.
This season, in a new classification, the Lady Falcons are 19-3 overall and 9-0 in Region 7-4A play.
After losing Taniyah Worth and Lexie Sengkhammee to graduation, it seemed as if Flowery Branch might stumble a bit. They showed signs of it in a loss to Class 3A opponent Dawson County in the first game of the season. Since that loss, the Lady Falcons are 19-2.
A big reason for the success this year is senior guard Caroline Wysocki.
Wysocki is averaging 18 ppg and, last week, she averaged 17 points in the Lady Falcons' three wins, including hitting the 1,000-career point mark.
Her play last week has earned her this week's Conditioned Air Systems Athlete of the Week.
We caught up with Wysocki and her coach, Courtney Newton-Gonzalez to talk about Wysocki's play and the teams play this season.
