A Nicholson man is facing a murder charge for a Monday stabbing death in Jackson County.
Jackson County Sheriff Janus Mangum said deputies were called to a home on JS Wiliamson Court in Nicholson for a report of a dispute in progress. She said they arrived to find Jonathan Eric Walls, 33, of Pendergrass suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Walls was taken to an Athens hospital where he died of his injuries, according to the sheriff.
Mangum said they arrested Brandon Thomas Crane, 33, of Nicholson at the scene. He is charged with murder and is being held in the Jackson County Jail.
