Girls basketball: Chestatee holds on to beat Blessed Trinity

ROSWELL – Beth Eddins didn’t score a bunch of points Friday night, but she did hit a big shot in the 55-53 Region 7-4A win over Blessed Trinity.

Eddins’ shot gave the Lady War Eagles the lead with under a minute to play. The shot helped push Chestatee past the Lady Titans. She finished the night with 7 points.

Christina Garcia led Chestatee with 18 points. Bowen Corley had 15, Maggie McNair scored 8, and Emma Easterwood chipped in 7.

Chestatee (9-9, 4-2) will host Denmark on Jan. 11. Game time is 7 p.m.
