ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Ryan Hogan was the low Nighthawk through 36 holes as the University of North Georgia men's golf team opened play at the Jay Jennison Memorial at the Slammer & Squire.

The Nighthawks are in 13th in the loaded field of teams that includes 11 of the 15 teams either ranked or receiving votes in the latest Golfweek Poll. No. 3 Barry leads the field by 22 strokes over No. 25 Young Harris. Barton, Keiser and No. 14 Rollins are all tied for third place.

Lawson King shot an even-par 72 in the opening round of the tournament, leading the Nighthawks to a first-round score of 298. A long day in the heat and humidity led to a second round that saw UNG shoot a 311, led by Ryan Hogan's 76. Hogan shot a 74 in the first 18 holes.

The final round of the Jay Jennison Memorial will tee off tomorrow morning as UNG tees off No. 10 starting at 8:27 a.m.
