Banks County seeks firm to create economic development plan

HOMER — The Development Authority of Banks County is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms to develop an economic develop plan for the county.

Submitted plans should include the following facets:

The proposal also should include specific firm qualifications, including key staff resumes, relevant experience, and three references for related work, as well as other requirements as laid out in the RFQ by the Development Authority of Banks County.

The request for proposals was released Aug. 21 and the deadline for proposal submission is Oct. 5.

Important dates related to the RFQ include the hiring of a consultant on or about Oct. 17, with a project start date of Nov. 1. The project completion date is April 30, 2019.

The road accessing the Grove Creek at Banks Crossing Business Park now has a traffic signal at its intersection with U.S. 441/Ga. 15. The road aligns with Faulkner Road.
