HIAWASSEE — Alan Gillis scored two touchdowns to help Towns County fend off Andrews (North Carolina) 21-19 on Friday in Hiawassee.

Gillis ripped off an 88-yard scoring run and hauled in a 50-yard touchdown pass to help the Indians (2-1) to bounce back from last week's big loss to Union County.

"He was everywhere; we found ways to get him the ball over the place tonight," Towns County coach John Cornett said. "But we've got to get better. We did not play well overall, and we've got a big game at George Walton next week, and they are very good."

Towns County quarterback Trent Bradshaw also had a 1-yard touchdown run.

The Indians trailed 7-6 at the half.
