Some area hopefuls answered questions about themselves on Friday night, as Week 3 of the high school football season played out across northeast Georgia.

Flowery Branch, Dawson County, Rabun County and Habersham Central each either responded to slow starts or held off determined challenges to continue their winning ways on a young-ish season.
Meanwhile, East Hall and Banks County each stormed their respective ways into the win column for the first time in 2018.
Elsewhere Jefferson, Johnson and Union County pulled off big wins, and Towns County fended off Andrews, N.C., and Lumpkin County battled Gilmer (and the elements) to a 23-13 road win. Also Jackson County, Cherokee Bluff, Lakeview Academy and White County fell in contests.
The Falcons fell behind Winder-Barrow 7-3 at home but scored 20 unanswered to move to 3-0 on the season.
Dawson County also maintained a perfect record, moving to 3-0 after trailing West Hall 7-0 in the second quarter -- only to score 42 straight en route to a 45-14 victory in Dawsonville.
Rabun County also trailed Stephens County in a back-and-forth contest that saw the Wildcats take the lead for good with 4:50 remaining in the third quarter -- only to run away with a 41-14 victory to move to 2-1.
Meanwhile, Habersham Central moved to 3-1 courtesy a 35-20 defeat of Franklin County that saw the Raiders take a 28-6 lead before the Lions scored 14 straight to make it a one-possession game in in the fourth quarter. But Habersham sealed the win with 5:58 to play.
In Gainesville, Chestatee and East Hall combined for 1,200 yards of offense, as the Vikings (1-3) took a wild, 56-41 shootout over the War Eagles (0-3). Banks County's offense also went off, as the Leopards (1-2) used 5 touchdowns from Terrance Walker to speed past East Jackson 50-10.
Jefferson got its first home game in a rennovated Memorial Stadium and made Southside (South Carolina) pay the price, rushing for 287 yards in the 31-7 win. And Johnson stoned Riverside Military early and pulled away for a 30-14 win in Gainesville to maintain its best start since 2003.
