Marie Beard is the newest member of the Dawson County Board of Elections and Voter Registration, replacing Spencer Maddux, who retired earlier this year.
Head previously served on the Pickens County Board of Elections and Voter Registration for a short time before moving to Dawson County.
She will be one of two Democratic Party representatives on the five-member body.
