As of Tuesday, Sept. 4, construction is underway on a large industrial complex in the Buford area.
The new 985 Lanier Logistics Center project is located on Georgia State Route 13 and Lanier Islands Parkway and should be complete during the first quarter of 2019.
Design firm Ware Malcomb announced this week that all design work is complete for the project, which will consist of three industrial buildings totaling 615,572 square feet of space.
"The 44-acre project will accommodate tenant suites ranging from 25,000 to 236,000 square feet," read a press statement from Ware Malcomb officials. "The three buildings – which are 209,252 square feet, 167,080 square feet, and 236,240 square feet in size, respectively – feature 32-foot clear heights and 38- to 42-foot dock high doors. The design incorporates tilt-up concrete panels, glass, and a framed metal canopy at the building’s entrance. The project also includes 160 tractor-trailer stalls."
The site location will make for easy access to both I-985 and I-85.
“We are excited to help bring this new, state-of-the-art industrial center to this developing market,” said Jason Dooley AIA, Regional Director of Ware Malcomb’s Atlanta office. “985 Lanier Logistics will fill a tremendous need for businesses, and we have designed the space to be flexible enough to accommodate the various requirements of a range of potential tenants.”
The developer of the project is McCraney Property Company and the general contractor is Evans General Contractors.
