Gwinnett County Police are investigating after a threat is left on a bathroom wall at Buford Middle School Thursday.
Police Cpl. Michelle Pihera said the threat was serious, but not specific.
"Essentially what the threat indicated is that there would be a shooting at some point in the future," said Pihera. "There was not specific date given."
The message was written in a girls restroom.
Pihera said the area commander police will increase patrols around the school, especially on Friday.
Who wrote the message and why remains under investigation.
