Hall County Sheriff's Office investigators said Wednesday they have arrested Scott Posey Renfore, 35, of College Park for the theft of a safe from Fish Tales Restaurant, located within Hideaway Bay Marina.

Lt. Scott Ware said the theft happened on August 23 when someone cut through a beer cooler, stole the safe and hid it in a wooded area of the property.

He said employees found the safe, opened it and returned the contents to the business. However, Ware said Tuesday Refore was found on the property attempting to open the safe and was arrested for trespassing and possession of burglary tools. He later was charged with the original break-in and theft.

Ware said Refore was booked into the Hall County Detention Center and is being held on a $17,100 bond. Ware said if the suspect makes bond, Renfore is also on hold for a warrant issued for him out of Cobb County.
