Gainesville Police are looking for a male subject they say shot a glass door at a business to steal cash Sunday night.

The subject reportedly approached the locked front door of the Ross on Dawsonville Highway around 11:30 p.m.

"The store was already closed at the time and employees were still inside, closing down, when they heard a shot fire, breaking the front glass door," said Sgt. Kevin Holbrook.

He said a male subject entered through the broken door and took the money before fleeing on foot.

Holbrook said they were working to release a description of the suspect.

"Given the descriptions from the staff, it is believed to be an adult male," said Holbrook. "The individual did have some type of mask or disguise on."

None of the employees were injured.
