A group looking to build an industrial warehouse facility off of Highway 365 near the Hall-Habersham county line asked the Hall County Commission to table their rezoning request Thursday.

Falcon Design Consultants is asking to rezone just over 200 acres on the west side of the highway between Mud Creek Road and Yonah Post Road from Agricultural-Residential-IV to Light Industrial. Vice President of Development for the group, Dale Hall, said after Thursday's meeting that the group wants to get information to answer questions that were raised by the public and the county's planning commission.

"We want to give the community what they want. We thing it's going to be a great asset for everyone, for the county, and we just want to make sure that everyone's on board when we move ahead," Hall said.

He said that the group is not looking to use all of the 203 acres that it's requesting to rezone.

"We're only looking at the front third of the site to build on at the present time," Hall said. "It's divided up by some streams that go through the site."

The county commission unanimously agreed to table the public hearing on the request. It is now scheduled to be held at the commission's September 6 meeting.
