Two unrelated projects will result in street closings this weekend and next week in Gainesville.
City officials outlined plans for both in separate emails Thursday afternoon. Both of the projects involve the use of cranes.
Industrial Boulevard will be closed between Dorsey Street and Queen City Parkway Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for work on the Pilgrim's Pride Poultry complex.
The intersection of Adair Street and Ivey Terrace will be closed for tree removal Tuesday from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. The email says the trees need to be removed because they are too close to power lines.
