Gainesville Eye Associates announces the addition of ophthalmologist Dr. Zach Balest to its staff.
The Gainesville native recently completed his ophthalmology residency at Emory University in Atlanta. Earlier, he served a transitional internship at Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Ala. Balest is a 2014 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia/University of Georgia Medical Partnership.
Balest plans to focus on assisting patients with cataract and refractive surgery, medical and surgical management of glaucoma and diabetic eye care.
