The ribbon cutting for the Lake Lanier Aquatic Learning Center's new boathouse at River Forks Park is set for Tuesday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m.
This program is a collaboration involving the Chattahoochee River Keeper, Elachee Nature Science Center and Hall County Parks and Leisure. CRK owns the boat/boathouse and hires the captains, Elachee provides the education during the school programs and Hall County has provided the River Forks Park location.
After a brief ribbon cutting ceremony, limited seats aboard the Chota Princess II will be available for an LLALC program alongside 4th graders from Myers Elementary from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. A one-hour on-shore environmental education program will follow at 11:30 a.m.
