RURAL RETREAT, Va. - Postponed by Mother Nature for almost two months, Dillon Brown drove to the the FASTRAK Racing Series victory on Saturday night at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia.
The win was worth $3,000 for the Gaffney, South Carolina driver in the second round of 14th Annual FASTRAK Triple Crown Series.
Kenny Peeples, Jr. brought the field to the green flag from the pole, and would lead the opening three laps before Brown moved to the point.
Brown held off several challenges, and led through four cautions on the night. The biggest incident of the night occurred on lap 30, when six cars tangled on the backstretch, necessitating a red flag to allow for track clean up.
Over the closing laps, several drivers attempted to mount a charge on the leader, but Brown held them at bay to score his second career series victory.
Matthew Nance came home in second, with Brandon Umberger third, Carson Ferguson fourth and Brett Hamm in fifth.
Benji Hicks, Joseph Brown, Kenny Peeples, Jr., Tyler Arrington and Terry Cregger rounded out the top ten.
Up next for the FASTRAK Racing is the FASTRAK Triple Crown championship finale on August 3 at Beckley Motorsports Park in Prosperity, West Virginia.
