Bell, Spikes record Super Pro victories at Commerce

The forecast on Saturday might have been less than favorable for the Commerce, Georgia area, that didn’t keep drivers from doubling up in Summit ET Series action at Atlanta Dragway.

With the track hosting a pair of events on the day, Thomas Bell and Susan Spikes both took home their first Super Pro division wins of the season.

In race one, Bell, of Toccoa, Georgia, beat out Marty Wilhelm with a 4.452 ET on a dial in of 4.44 at 153.58 mph and a 0.015 reaction time.

In race two, Spikes, of Commerce, Georgia, defeated Jeremy Hancock with a dead on 4.959 ET on her 4.95 dial in at 138.78 mph and a 0.023 reaction.

Other winners in race one included Eric Lewis in Pro, Dickey Forrester in Sportsman, Tim Sutton in Super Pro Bike and Jimmy Heisler in Street ET Bike.

In other race two action, Matt Ward won in Pro, with Joey Rutledge in Sportsman, Drew Queen in Super Pro Bike and Randy Barnett in Street ET Bike.
