GAINESVILLE — Nathan Williams finished strong to win his third consecutive City Championship Sunday at the Chattahoochee Golf Course.
Williams fired a final round 69 to finish at 209, 7-under par. He finished two shots better than runner-up Josh Edgar (211, 5-under), who also carded a final round 69. Davis Weaver had a final round 75 to finish at 1-over 217 for third place.
In the Championship B division, Ryan Hogan finished with a final round 69 (225) to win by two shots over second round leader Walker Winslette (227). Jim Foote finished in third place after a final round 71 for a 228 total.
Clay McDonald was the net winner in the Championship Division with scores of 71-69-72 (212).
John Yarger shot an impressive even-par 72 (149) in the second round to win the First Flight. Keith Causey took second place with a 164 finish.
In the 1st flight net division, Will Hicks was the winner with net rounds of 70-69 (139). John Payne was second in the net division at even par 144.
The Gainesville City Junior Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday July 28-29. The tournament is open to boys ages 10-18 and girls 12-18. Entry information is available by calling Chattahoochee Golf Shop at 770 532-0066.
