Chris Woods took command of Saturday night’s Limited Late Model feature at Georgia’s Winder-Barrow Speedway early on, and went on to record the victory.

The Statham, Georgia driver started the feature from the pole, but it was Dustin Cason getting the jump on the drop of the green flag, charging into turn one ahead of the pack with Woods and John Anderson in pursuit.

Two laps later, Woods powered to the inside of Cason in turn four, and took the lead as the duo charged onto the frontstretch.

Behind them, Anderson spun halfway down the frontstretch, bringing out the first caution of the night.

Back under green, Woods pulled away to the advantage, leaving Cason and Chad Puckett to fight for second. Cason would hold the spot, and soon began working to reel in the leader. As the laps clicked off, Cason would close to within three car lengths of Woods, but couldn’t seem to get any closer.

That battle went away when the second caution of the night flew after Anderson slowed up high in turn four.

On the restart, Woods again jumped to the lead, with Cason trying to stay within contact. As the laps wound down, Woods began pulling away. In the end, he outdistanced Cason by about a three second margin to score the win.

Puckett finished in third, with Scott Frady in fourth and Anderson in fifth.

In other action, Jordan Poole held off Tyler Canup to score the Modified Street feature victory. Aaron Criswell came home in third.

Mark Chancey took the win in the Stock V8 feature, with Jeff Casper in second, Lewis Roberts in third, Trip Sexton in fourth and Chris Johnson in fifth.

Chase Lampp was the winner in the Hobby division. Nick Sellers, Andy Barton, Dalton Grindle and Glen Jackson rounded out the top five.

Kyle Braswell scored the victory in the Stock 4A feature. P.J. Taylor finished in second, followed by Damen Harrison on third, Allen Cantrell in fourth and Cody Albright in fifth.

Adam Jones took the win in the Stock 4B feature, with Kyle Walker in second, Brandon Franklin in third, Mark Parker, Sr. in fourth and Mark Parker, Jr. in fifth.

Winder-Barrow Speedway returns to action on Saturday, July 14, as the raceway plays host to the Lucas Oil Southern States Midget Car Series. For more information, WinderBarrowSpeedway.net.
