Pennington wins Lavonia, Lukon triumphs at Tyler Co.

Travis Pennington and Kyle Lukon both scored FASTRAK Racing Series victories over the holiday weekend.

On July 4, Pennington powered to the win at Georgia’s Lavonia Speedway, while Lukon drove to the win on Saturday at Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia.

Pennington scored the pole for the July 4 Charlie Mize Memorial race at Lavonia Speedway, and battled with Dale Timms of the start, with Pennington moving out to the lead.

Timms tried to make a late race really, but it wasn’t enough as Pennington went on to score the $2,000 victory.

Timms came home in second, with Trent Ivey in third, Brett Hamm in fourth and Larry Timms in fifth.

On Saturday night, Kyle Lukon would take the lead for the final time just after the halfway point at Tyler County Speedway, and went on to score the $7,000 victory in the “Great American Crate Race”.

Lukon would battle back and forth with Ross Bailes before taking the point for the final time.

Bailes finished in second, with Zack Dohm in third, Matt Long in fourth and Jacob Hawkins in fifth.
