SENOIA, Ga. - There’s nothing like a first time winner.

Just ask Zach Leonhardi, who dominated Saturday night’s Super Late Model feature at Georgia’s Senoia Raceway en route to the victory.

The 17-year-old of Cartersville, Georgia just obtained his license to drive legally on the streets this past week, but he showed everyone he has known how to drive a racecar for a long time by beating Clint Smith by over four seconds.

It marks Leonhardi’s first career victory behind the wheel of a Super Late Model and first time back into victory lane at Senoia Raceway since he raced Legends cars a few years back.

“It feels to great to get our first win,” said Zach afterwards. “What a car.”

Leonhardi charged to a straightaway length lead through the midway point of the race using the highest line around 3/8ths mile gumbo clay track. The only thing that slowed the leader was a caution on lap 16 for a spin by Dalton Cook.

Leonhardi led flag-to-flag for the win. Smith finished a distant second followed by Mason Massey in third, Ricky Williams in fourth and Cook in fifth.

Todd Morrow also scored his first Senoia Raceway victory, as he took the win in the Crate Late Model feature. collected the checkers for the Crate Late Models. Morrow qualified the fastest earlier in the evening and led every lap of the feature. Chaz Haskins finished in second, with Jake Rainey in third, Dow Kirkland in fourth and Cory Dunn in fifth.

Cory Compton led all laps in the Late Model Sportsman feature en route to the win. Ryan King came home in second, with Andrew Bailey in third, Jason Williams in fourt and Levi Campbell in fifth

Thomas Lewis inherited the lead in the Limited Late Model feature when leader Matt Dooley was sidelined with mechanical issues during a lap 12 caution. From there, Lewis went on to score the victory, with Joey Armistead in second and Chris Carr in third.

Ted Willingham, Sam Carter and Keith West swapped the top three positions over the opening laps of the Hobby feature. In the end, it was West taking the victory, Willingham was second ahead of Carter in third.

Dean Williams held off Mark Meyers to score the Hot Shots feature victory. Larry Pierce, Stacey Henderson and Cale Burford rounded out the top five.

Dorough Bright won his fourth straight Bombers feature, while Tommy Faulkner was the Mini-Stock feature winner.
