The Georgia Department of Transportation said Thursday there is still a lot of cleaning up to do from flood damage in White County.

GDOT spokeswoman Katie Strickland said the hardest hit area with curb loss and trees down is along one of the county's more popular roadways.

"All along Hwy 75 in Helen and White County," Strickland said.

Strickland said the weather is cooperating so far and they ask if you are using Hwy 75 please be alert that DOT workers are out there.

Over a seven day period after Tropical Storm Alberto made landfall, White County received 15 inches of rain.
